We continue with another #GettingToKnow.... today, we get to know Frome RFC Head Coach Toby Culff.
| When was your first XV debut? Away against Nailsea and Backwell, 1999.
| What has been your best Frome RFC moment? As a Player, finally winning the Somerset Cup with our U17 team. Winning with your best mates is special. As a Coach, our playoff game against Buckingham last season was incredibly special, even though we lost. I was so proud of our players and our Club.
| Who has been the best opposition player you’ve faced? The player I most looked forward to facing was Richard Nias, no.8 for Sherborne. A physical, gifted and aggressive player, but always fair and fun to play against. We had some bruising and memorable battles.
| What Netflix show do you binge? It hasn't started yet, but I'll be binging 'The Last Dance' - a behind the scenes look at Micheal Jordan's Chicago Bulls.
| What food is your guilty pleasure? Pork scratchings. Any time of day or night.
| What is your prematch song? Bothers in Arms, Dire Straits. Always tears.
| What advice would you give someone getting into rugby union? Don't believe anyone who says rugby "is a simple game". It's not: it's incredibly difficult. Just keep working hard and keep improving.
| Which player, past or present would you most like to play with? Easy. My Dad. My hero.
| What hobby would you like to take up? I'd just be happy if I had more time to read and to play the guitar.
| Who is the funniest Frome RFC teammate? Of the current bunch, I probably laugh at Jath Howard the most. Not sure that strictly answers your question, though!
| What sport would you play if you weren’t a rugby player? If I was taller I'd say basketball, but I'm not, so American Football. Linebacker please.
| Favourite film? Favourite sports film - Tin Cup.
| How are you staying fit during isolation? I don't think I am, to be honest.
| Who’s your sporting hero? Tough one. Right now, probably LeBron James. Peerless.
| What advice do you have for people during lockdown? I'm rubbish at this so I'm not the right person to ask. Get your arse outside at 8pm every Thursday and applaud our key workers. Absolute heroes. God bless them all.
Thank you to Toby for taking the time out to answer the questions, up next we have Frome RFC 1st XV Captain John Benstead....
