At the recent Annual General Meeting of Frome RFC, the club marked the end of an important chapter as several long-serving committee members formally stepped down from their roles.

The club would like to place on record its sincere thanks and appreciation to those individuals for their outstanding dedication, commitment, and service over many years.

Chris Hall steps down after serving as President for the past 10 years, having previously also dedicated many years to the club as Chairman. His commitment and leadership over such a long period have played a huge role in helping shape and support the club both on and off the field.

Shane Lewis also steps down after an incredible 12 years as Chairman, during which time he has given countless hours of voluntary service and unwavering commitment to the continued growth and success of Frome RFC and its facilities.

Roger Gilson leaves his role as Fixtures Secretary and Referee Coordinator (among many other roles), having been a true stalwart of the club over many years while taking on numerous roles and responsibilities throughout his time at Frome RFC. His dedication and willingness to help wherever needed have made a lasting impact across the club.

Leon Kelly steps down from his role as Membership Secretary after serving the club over the last years, providing valuable support and commitment to the running of the club behind the scenes.

Volunteers are the backbone of community rugby, and the contributions made by Chris, Shane, Roger, and Leon have been nothing short of exceptional. Their hard work, passion, and dedication have helped strengthen the club and support generations of players, members, and supporters.

On behalf of everyone at Frome RFC, we extend a huge and heartfelt thank you for everything they have done for the club. We wish them all the very best and look forward to continuing to see them as valued members of the Frome RFC family for many years to come.

Over the coming days we will be announcing our newly elected committee members for the 2026/27 season.
