#GettingToKnow Frome RFC’s Andy Plumridge...

| When was your first XV debut? 1989/90 Whitehall RFC, Away.

| What has been your best Frome RFC moment? Scoring the winning Try v Wells RFC to win the league, playing at The Rev in the Combination Cup Final, and also part of the team that had taken to Frome to its highest league position. Being selected for Bath Combination V Bristol Combination and Bath Combination Vs Bath Academy on the Rec were special as that was in 2000 (ish) and back end of my career.

| What Netflix show do you binge? Net who?

| What food is your guilty pleasure? Steak with Peppercorn Sauce.

| What is your prematch song? Didn’t have one.

| What advice would you give someone getting into rugby union? Embrace the family’s environment, it’s a great game.

| Which player, past or present would you most like to play with? I’ve been blessed in my career to play with plenty of great Frome RFC icons over the decades, too many to name, I’ve had the pleasure of Coaching/Assisting/Watching the junior sides, and there’s an abundance of talent coming through. So I would say Cory Plumridge.

| What hobby would you like to take up? Probably Drums/Guitar.

| Who is the funniest Frome RFC teammate? Gary Jamieson and Andy Greenwood, definetly funny times!

| What sport would you play if you weren’t a rugby player? Sumo Wrestler.

| Favourite film? Invictus.

| How are you staying fit during isolation? I’m not, I’m still currently working as a key worker.

| Who’s your sporting hero? Daley Thompson.

| Do you have any prematch rituals or superstitions? Not really.

|What advice do you have for people during lockdown? Keep in contact with your loved ones however possible.

Tomorrow we stay with the Plumridge family as we ask Cory Plumridge our #GettingToKnow questions.
