Today we are #GettingToKnow Frome RFC’s very own Chairman, Mr Shane Lewis. (Some fantastic newspaper clippings too!)

| When was your first XV debut? 2001

| What has been your best Frome RFC moment? Presenting Paul Lovatt with his honorary life membership award in front of the members. Equal to winning the 2002/2003 league season when beating Devizes 16-5 to secure promotion.

| What Netflix show do you binge? Peaky Blinders & world war 2 in colour when I’m struggling to fall asleep.

| What food is your guilty pleasure? Chocolate biscuits and spicy food.

| What is your prematch song? Don’t have one I’m afraid.

| What advice would you give someone getting into rugby union? When you start out in the game enjoy the team environment and build a friend base for life. As you progress and have ambitions then set your target and plan the journey to reach it. Finally, to succeed you must learn to take valuable criticism!

| Which player, past or present would you most like to play with? Jean Pierre Reeves.

| What hobby would you like to take up? My life is rich with hobbies!

| Who is the funniest Frome RFC teammate? James Howard ... he is way way funnier then Aaron Blaney!!!

| What sport would you play if you weren’t a rugby player? Darts 🎯.

| Favourite film? Pulp fiction and that western with Alan Ladd starring in it .... now what was his name 🤔🤔.

| How are you staying fit during isolation? Running and cycling.

| Who’s your sporting hero? Ian Botham.

| Do you have any prematch rituals or superstitions? When I was playing it had to be pancakes and maple syrup for brekkie and always arrive early.

| What advice do you have for people during lockdown? Check on your neighbours and appreciate the opportunity to take a break from the day to day.

Tomorrow we ask our questions to Connor McPherson.
