Continuing with the Forwards, today’s #GettingToM ow questions go to Frome RFC Player Geoff Taylor.
| When was your first XV debut? Away to Royal Wootton Bassett RFC, I think 2014/15 in the last game before Christmas, we shared lots of beers with afterwards.
| What has been your best Frome RFC moment? Playing and winning at The Rec in the Bath Combination Vase Final.
| What Netflix show do you binge? Power and another called Gotham.
| What food is your guilty pleasure? Chicken Nuggets, you can’t beat them!
| What is your prematch song? Til I collapse, Eminem.
| What advice would you give someone getting into rugby union? Take every opportunity within the sport you can, give it 100% and you will Furness and memories for life.
| Which player, past or present would you most like to play with? There’s only one “Will Button” great player and leader, leaves nothing on the pitch each and every time he wore the shirt.
| What hobby would you like to take up? I’d like to get better at cooking, to accompany my love for food.
| Who is the funniest Frome RFC teammate? James Howard, either laughing with him or at him.
| What sport would you play if you weren’t a rugby player? Not that I’m any good but probably Golf.
| Favourite film? Anything Jurassic Park.
| How are you staying fit during isolation? Home work outs and running.
| Who’s your sporting hero? I don’t really have one but if I had to choose a favourite player it would be Schalk Brtiz, such a skilful player, especially as a front row.
| Do you have any prematch rituals or superstitions? Always the left sock before the right one, and since having them I can’t play without the Frome RFC Budgie Smugglers.
| What advice do you have for people during lockdown? Keep positive and keep in touch with friends and family, and do what makes you happy.
