#GettingToKnow Frome RFC’s James Gallop...

| When was your first XV debut? 2003-4 season, away at Maidenhead RFC possibly.

| What has been your best Frome RFC moment? So many! Each Final on the Rec, great Cup game win away at Penryn RFC, this one tackle at Readingensians, my drop goal in Town v Gown and winning the league with the 2nd XV last season are all up there.

| What Netflix show do you binge? Don’t do Netflix. Want to watch Michael Jordan The last dance though.

| What food is your guilty pleasure? Pretty much all of it, Lasagna is a favourite, also Pizza and have a sweet tooth for afters!

| What is your prematch song? Way back it used to be the Al Pacino inch by inch speech from any given Sunday. That got the changing room going.

| What advice would you give someone getting into rugby union? Don’t worry about your playing ability and skill set you can play at any level and still get the same feeling. Give 100% and it won’t hurt as much as you think.

| Which player, past or present would you most like to play with? Would have to be Ryan Mee with a couple of good knees!

| What hobby would you like to take up? Some form of motorsport of motocross riding.

| Who is the funniest Frome RFC teammate? Too many to name one.

| What sport would you play if you weren’t a rugby player? Mountain biking.

| Favourite film? Shawshank Redemption.

| How are you staying fit during isolation? Hasn’t been happening so far...

| Who’s your sporting hero? Got a couple; Sam Burgess, Josh Lewsey & Steve Peat.

| Do you have any prematch rituals or superstitions? Tape my wrists, little quiet sit down to gather my thoughts and join the huddle.

| What advice do you have for people during lockdown? Take the daily walk and get outside, discover your local area as there could be more to see than you thought!

Tomorrow we catch up with Frome RFC’s Dan Castle.
