Today we are #GettingToKnow Frome RFC’s Kyle Stickley.
| When was your first XV debut? I think it was back in 1996 against Winscombe RFC.
| What has been your best Frome RFC moment? Winning the Bath Combination Vase at The Rec when I was Coaching.
| What Netflix show do you binge? I love Lucifer.
| What food is your guilty pleasure? Hare Wellington.
| What is your prematch song? Creed my Sacrifice.
| What advice would you give someone getting into rugby union? Enjoy yourself, it’s just a game. Remember other people are playing just for fun, rest up when your injured and enjoy it while it lasts.
| Which player, past or present would you most like to play with? There are a few that I would love to have been able to play with but it would have it be Leo and Alexis Stickley at the same time, apart from some Vets rugby I can’t recall ever playing a competitive game together.
| What hobby would you like to take up? Sounds daft as gravity loves me, but Paragliding.
| Who is the funniest Frome RFC teammate? Matt King always makes me laugh.
| What sport would you play if you weren’t a rugby player? Free Diving.
| Favourite film? Weird Science #ItsAClassic
| How are you staying fit during isolation? I’m still going to work, so generally running to alarms to stay fit.
| Who’s your sporting hero? Jason Leonard, he is just bloody amazing.
| Do you have any prematch rituals or superstitions? I sit with my eyes closed and ignore the changing room, and visualise breathing in bright light and breathing out rubbish. I do this until both breathes are bright light. Also the Wife has to say “come back with all your bits and pieces” to which I reply “I will”. It HAS to be those exact words!
| What advice do you have for people during lockdown? Enjoy the lockdown, it seems to be doing us some good. People are talking to each other more on the street whilst walking and just seem more relaxed.
Tomorrow’s questions go to Ryan Lech.
